TAIPEI, Taiwan, July 2, 2023 — Renowned academic and orthopedic specialist, Dr. Bintang Soetjahjo, is set to light up the world of regenerative medicine with his cutting-edge insights at the upcoming "Forum for Cell Therapy and Regenerative Medicine," paving the way for an impactful exchange of scientific information.
As a senior lecturer at the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Sebelas Maret, Surakarta, Central Java, Indonesia, and an experienced orthopedic doctor at Dr. Moewardi General Hospital, Surakarta, Central Java, Indonesia, Dr. Soetjahjo will bring to the fore a wealth of knowledge and fresh perspectives on cartilage healing.
The event, hosted by the International PhD Program for Cell Therapy and Regeneration Medicine, College of Medicine, Taipei Medical University, Taiwan, and the Center for Cell Therapy, TMU hospital, will take place on-site on Thursday, July 6, 2023, from 1:10 PM to 3:00 PM at the First Meeting Room, 15F, United Medical Building (Rear Building), Xinyi Campus, Taipei Medical University (TMU), Taiwan.
Dr. Soetjahjo will be the invited speaker at the event and delve into the topic, "A comparison between transforming growth factor beta 1 level in osteoarthritis cartilage and healthy cartilage of human knee." Dr. Soetjahjo's interest in osteoarthritis and the healing potential of cartilage steered him toward this field of research, leading to ground-breaking in vivo studies, involving the use of secretomes from the Umbilical Cord for cartilage repair. These studies have played a pivotal role in shaping up the trajectory for future research.
With his expertise in stem cells orthopedic and adult reconstruction hip-knee orthopaedic consultancy, Dr. Soetjahjo is a valuable contributor to the field. He has been awarded by BRIN-Kalbe for his work on 'Translational Clinical Trial" for osteoarthritis cases with secretomes and is currently in the evaluation and data collection phase of this trial.
